Bike ferry to Öland

In the summer season, you can get aboard the M/S Dessi, that runs from Kalmar to Färjestaden on Öland. Why not bring your bike, and explore nature and the lovely shores of Öland?

In 2026, the ferry operates from 15 June to 16 August. The trip across Kalmarsund takes about 30 minutes. In Kalmar, the ferry leaves from the harbour Tullhamnen. On Öland, use the Färjestaden harbour. Tickets must be purchased in advance via Nortic.

The M/S Dessi has room for a total of 118 passengers on its lovely sun deck and in the saloon, which has a café. Bringing your bike is included in the ticket fee, and there’s room for up to 50 bikes. Dogs are welcome aboard, too.
