In Kvarnholmen, the heart of Kalmar, you can feel the wings of history. Why not take a stroll along the city wall and gaze down over the town? Be sure to wander the lanes of the Old Town, where you’ll find lovely houses from the 18th and 19th centuries.

Autumn is the perfect time to sit down in a cosy café, or enjoy a nice dinner in a restaurant. Keep your eyes peeled for the various culinary events hosted at this time.

Visit a farm shop
During the harvest time, some really cosy outings can be made to the local farm shops, to enjoy tasty treats in season. Make sure not to miss annual events such as Matrunda Kalmar län, Harvest Day at Krusenstiernska gården, and the Autumn Market at Skälby.

In and around Kalmar, there are many scenic spots to visit. Perhaps you’ll choose to go on a cycling trip? Or play a round of golf? If you dare, you can also climb among the treetops on a high ropes course.
